Two Rivers Software Training:
How do we protect your personal information?
Our entire site is protected by a Secure Sockets layer (SSL). This means that information is encrypted and transmitted securely.
Credit Card information is never transmitted via email. In fact we do not store any financial information on our site, such as credit card numbers and related identification information. All financial transactions are administered using a reputable, reliable and secure third party payment processor.
For site security we use software tools to monitor and identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
We ask that you NEVER send private information to us by email, as this can be insecure. Doing so will be at your own risk.
What are Cookies and Pixels?
Cookies and pixels are used by many websites to help track visitors and tailor their marketing thereby improving your visitor experience. They do not enable websites to capture any personally identifiable information. Cookies and pixels both work in the background and you never see them.
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in a specifically designated cookie folder on your browser when you visit our website. In order to protect your privacy, your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other websites.
When you revisit a site, the cookie remembers that you have visited before. This enables the web page to customise its content differently, based on your previous visitor behaviour. For example, when you revisit a shopping site, cookies (that were set on your first visit) enable the site to show the products you browsed, placed in the cart or purchased.
A pixel is a small, invisible graphic that is triggered when you visit one of our web pages or one of our Facebook posts. A pixel sets a cookie in your browser.
Cookie & pixel use for retargeting (a.k.a. remarketing)
A cookie simply says: “You visited this page, so I might show you a relevant ad that is related to the page you visited.”
You may opt out of Google cookies here: https://www.google.com/settings/ads
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our web server so that you can view the pages on our website.
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received online, mail and telephone.
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mail sent from us will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender.
In addition, all e-mail messages will contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you receive no further e-mail communication from us.
We will only send you information that you have specifically requested and agreed to receive or where the content is relevant to your original request. At any time you can change which communications you receive from us. Alternatively you may opt out entirely from all communications from us by clicking the unsubscribe link included on every email we send, where you are subscribed to a list.
For paid services, uses a reputable, reliable and secure payment gateway to collect online payments. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
Any refunds will be returned using the same payment method that was used for the original payment wherever possible.
